BOOKS released his first mixtape Cheat Sheethosted by DJ Delz, in 2011. BOOKS spits freestyle rhymes over some of his favorite beats, including "Check the Rhime" by A Tribe Called Quest. In a remake of Jay-Z's "Where I'm From," BOOKS paints a picture of what life is like on his notorious block, Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers. "Niggas Can't Touch Me Kid" is a nod to DMX and Bill Blass, who both paved the way for the next generation of Hip-Hop artists like BOOKS in his hometown.

In 2012, BOOKS was featured on the Ruff Ryders: Past, Present, Future mixtape, where he made a guest appearance on "Not a Game" alongside DMX and Drag-On, and his song "Hurt Ya Feelings." Both songs appeared on the follow-up mixtape Cheat Sheet 2 -- recorded at Powerhouse Studios, home to the Ruff Ryders family. The mixtape included original songs by BOOKS with guest verses from Murda Mook and Shella Da Blasian, and production by Bhang Beatz, Black Key, and B.O.S. Watch the videos for the first two singles "When We Get Fly" feat. Jae Nom and "Booka Baby."

While he loves recording music, the latest fashion, illustrious tattoos, and sometimes the nightlife, most of BOOKS' time is dedicated to empowering the underprivileged youth he works with at two group homes in Westchester County, N.Y.

BOOKS is currently recording his next EP coming this fall called SCEPTOR.
